I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Angi Sansón, and during the first two hours I struggled to connect with the story.

Not because the narration was bad, but because it took me a while to adjust to the European Spanish accent and the slower pace.

But once I got past that...

Everything changed.

Little by little, I found myself completely invested in Valentina and Gabriel's lives.

By the time I finished the book, I realized that slower pacing was exactly what allowed me to appreciate the passing of time and enjoy the characters' growth even more.

Characters

Valentina and Gabriel are the heart of this novel.

They're not perfect.

They're simply ordinary people who love, make mistakes, grow, dream, and face everything life throws at them.

That's exactly why they're so easy to connect with.

Their relationship never feels idealized.

And then came the last constellation.

That was the moment I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.

It wasn't just the end of a romance.

It was the farewell to an entire lifetime.

And I think that's exactly what makes this book so special.

It isn't only about love.

It's about everything that comes after "forever."

There were also several moments that reminded me of my own relationship, which probably made the ending hit even harder.

And honestly...

I still don't know if it was just my hormones or if this story simply found exactly where it needed to hit.

Maybe it was a little bit of both. 😅

Final Thoughts

Some books make you expect an emotional ending.

Others completely catch you off guard.

That's exactly what happened to me with El Chico que Dibujaba Coonstelaciones.

At first, I honestly thought I wouldn't connect with the story. It took me a while to adjust to the audiobook, and there were moments when I felt like it was moving too slowly.

But once I connected...

I really connected.

And those final chapters completely broke me.

Not just because of Valentina and Gabriel's love story, but because of what it means to look back on an entire life with someone you loved after they're gone.
